Eve
Hagar
Reliefs surrounding the entrances to the Milan Cathedral tell the story of the Old Testament. Included in the reliefs is a depiction of Adam and Eve being sent out of the Garden of Eden. Details from the biblical story are included; they are clothed with animal skins and an angel with a sword is present. Rather than a lush landscape, the background is mostly barren, signifying the change in environment, both physical and spiritual.
